The Association of Women in Business (AWIB) provides valuable opportunities that foster, celebrate, and advance women both personally and professionally. We are dedicated to ensuring that Fuqua MBAs are among the next generation of female business leaders and innovators.
As the largest club at Fuqua with over 400 members, AWIB plays an integral role in fostering conversation with the broader Duke community regarding the unique challenges that women face. Purposeful parity requires support from both our female and male allies, which include students, faculty, and partners.
Our key focus areas for the 2018-2019 academic year include:
- Connecting through mentorship & career opportunities by increasing intersectional awareness around all women's needs and facilitating mentorship between alumni and current students
- Attracting top talent to Fuqua by engaging with high-potential candidates both on- and off-campus
- Facilitating authentic engagement through holding routine programming, creating an AWIB Speaker Series, and increasing our commitment to the male allies program
