Lauren Gage  
About Lauren
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Lauren attended the University of Michigan - Ross School of Business for undergrad where she concentrated in Finance and Strategy. After graduating from Ross, Lauren moved to the Big Apple where she lived and worked for the past seven years prior to enrolling at Fuqua.

Lauren's professional experience includes seven years at Goldman Sachs in a variety of roles including both Operations and Investment Management. Most recently Lauren served as a Vice President and Business Unit Manager for the Alternative Investments and Manager Selections Group.

At Fuqua Lauren is concentrating in Strategy and Decision Sciences and is actively involved in AWIB as well as the Duke Management Consulting Club. She has a 2.5 year old miniature Goldendoodle named Addie who is her fur-child. In her spare time she enjoys practicing Vinyasa yoga, visiting Durham breweries, and taking Addie to the dog park!

Gabrielle R Sena  
About Gabrielle
A Tampa native, Gabrielle lived in New York City for eight years prior to Fuqua. She received her BA from New York University in Global Liberal Studies, with a minor in Social Entrepreneurship. She worked at Accion, a microfinance non-profit in a variety of areas including finance & accounting, grants management, compliance, human resources and project management. Gabrielle is passionate about sustainability and financial inclusion and was drawn to Fuqua for the robust social entrepreneurship curriculum and congenial culture.

She is the co-president of the Association of Women in Business, a role she loves because it allows her to connect with Fuqua women outside of the classroom. She's also part of Fuqua On Board, serving as a board member at Farmer Foodshare, a local non-profit that helps provide access to produce. For fun, Gabrielle is the co-head writer for Fuqua Action News, a satirical news segment that’s part of our quarterly FuquaVision broadcast and am a season ticketholder for Duke basketball.

Ali Fredman  
About Ali
Ali grew up in Larchmont, NY and studied social policy and global health at Northwestern University. She joined Teach for America as a middle school math teacher in New Orleans and after three years of teaching, Ali worked as a middle school math associate at Success Academies Charter Schools in New York City, writing a new conceptual math curriculum, training principals, and coaching teachers to help their classrooms score in the top 1% in NY State.

Not fulfilled with the status quo of the education and social sectors, she came to Fuqua to learn how business and tri-sector leadership can be leveraged to create solutions for issues like systemic inequality and sustainable scalability. Ali spent her summer interning at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in Seattle.

In addition to AWIB, Ali is heavily involved with the CASE center and serves as a CASE fellow. At Fuqua, she has also been involved with Casei3, Net Impact, and Admissions. She loves to explore new restaurants and hot-spots in Durham.

Stanford Alum, First Year at Fuqua. Member of the AWIB First Year Cabinet (Male Allies Program) and First Year Private Wealth Management Chair for the Finance Club.

Alyssa Steinmetz  
About Alyssa
Originally from Oakland, NJ, Alyssa graduated from The George Washington University with a degree in International Affairs and concentrations in Global Public Health and International Economics. She fell in love with the nation's capital and stayed in DC after college to work for The Advisory Board Company, a research, consulting and technology firm serving the healthcare and higher education industries.

Alyssa's professional experience includes seven years in a variety of HR and career management-related roles, most recently as an HR Business Partner. Alyssa's long-term career interests lie at the intersection of healthcare, business and international development.

In addition to AWIB, Alyssa is heavily involved in the healthcare community at Fuqua as an HSM Fellow and HCC cabinet member. She is also a COLE Fellow and actively involved in MBAA/Section 2 Communications. She loves the Durham brewery scene, hiking, dancing and exploring the RTP area with Fuqua friends!

Ashley King  
About Ashley
I am currently a second year at Fuqua, where I serve on the AWIB Admissions Cabinet, Consulting Club Cabinet, and am a Career Fellow and Forte Fellow. I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, and attended the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill - Kenan Flagler business school. After graduating, I spent 6 years in healthcare consulting, primarily focused on large hospital systems' revenue cycles and operations efficiencies.

Elise Le  
About Elise

I graduated from Wesleyan University in CT, double-majoring in Economics and Government. After college, I moved to D.C joining a public policy organization and later the World Bank, where I had the opportunity to travel around the work working on tourism, microfinance, education, and many other exciting projects. At Fuqua, I am working towards my finance concentration and a certificate in technology management. I am a cabinet member of AWIB and Hospitality and Travel Club, as well as a TA and career fellow. I love cooking, watching movie, scupt yoga, and playing competitive board games with friends (emphasis on competitive).

Elizabeth L Kristuli  
About Elizabeth
After graduating from the University of North Carolina in 2011 with a B.S.B.A, I kicked off my career working for Procter & Gamble in Sales and Marketing. This opportunity enabled me to experience two incredible cities in 6 years: San Francisco and Boston. In 2017, I made the decision to go to Business School, which led me here -to Fuqua! As a FY, I was involved in LEADS, AWIB, and FCCP. As a SY, my campus involvement includes AWIB Cabinet, FCCP Fellows, and Career Fellows.

Outside of School and Work, my energy and focus belong to my family, which includes my Husband Dorian and my 2 yo Niki. My extended family lives in North Carolina -so after 6 years outside the state, I am happy to be close enough to visit them frequently. While most of my free time is spent chasing my toddler, when I do get time to myself, I like to spend it running outside, tasting wines with friends, and trying out new recipes.

Hannah Lauber  
About Hannah
I'm a second-year student at Fuqua. I graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a degree in Government, and spent five years working in education policy in Washington, DC. I worked at both the district and national levels, improving teacher development and school-based operations, as well as student success initiatives at community colleges. At Fuqua I'm a member of AWIB's Member Engagement Cabinet, an Admissions Fellow, and serve on the Gender Working Group. Outside of Fuqua I love hiking, running, cooking, trying new restaurants, and exploring North Carolina with friends.

Heather Melcher  
About Heather
I am currently a second year at Fuqua, serving on the cabinets of AWIB and FuquaVision, and I enjoy being involved with MBA Games, the Soccer Club, and the Marketing Club. I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, with majors in Finance and Marketing. I then spent the next three years at General Mills, first in their finance function, and then in a brand management capacity.

Jenna Weiner  
About Jenna
Originally from Miami, Florida, Jenna went to Emory University for undergrad. After graduating, Jenna co-founded and developed an equestrian training facility in Aiken S.C. and a rental property real estate business in Tryon, N.C.

Currently, Jenna is a 3rd year dual degree MBA and Master of Environmental Management student with a concentration in Energy and Finance. At Fuqua, Jenna is the Academic Experience Chair for AWIB and the Corporate Sponsorship Chair for the Energy Club, and previously the Co-President for the MEM/MBA Club. In her free time she enjoys hiking and board game nights!

Jonathan Guy  
About Jonathan
Jonathan is a second year student in the Daytime MBA Program. He serves as an FCCP Fellow and co-leads the Male Allies Program of the Association of Women in Business.

Before Fuqua, Jonathan graduated from UC Berkeley and worked for Apple in Cupertino, CA. He is an avid rock climber and mountain biker (and a decidedly mediocre skier). Most recently, Jonathan interned with Salesforce, and he plans to return to San Francisco after graduating.

Juli A Spaventa  
About Juli
Originally from Santa Barbara, California, Juli attended the University of California, Los Angeles for undergrad where she majored in English. After graduating from UCLA, Juli moved to San Diego to build and lead marketing programs for several early-stage start-ups in the high-technology and biotechnology spaces.

At Fuqua, Juli is concentrating in Marketing and Strategy and is a COLE Fellow, the Leader of Health and Wellness for the Association of Women in Business (AWIB), and is actively involved in BOLD and the Fuqua Soccer Club. In her spare time she enjoys playing soccer, hiking and exploring North Carolina's outdoors, and visiting local breweries.

Kali Murphy  
About Kali
After graduating from the College of William & Mary, I spent 6 years in DC in a variety of roles that ranged from political fundraising to cross-functional project management and then spent my summer in management consulting. At Fuqua, I've been involved in AWIB and MBA Games along with being an Admissions Fellow. Outside of Fuqua, I'm all about the coffee in Durham and the Farmer's Market when I have the chance!

Kate Thomas  
About Kate
A native Virginian, Kate graduated from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, with concentrations in Information Technology and Marketing with a focus on Business Analytics. After college, she moved to Washington, D.C., to further pursue her interest in technology through positions in both research and consulting.

Throughout her career, Kate has been particularly interested in advancing women in STEM. During her time in consulting, she led a team to help recruit and retain women at her firm, and outside of work, she volunteered with a local D.C. organization to help young women improve their math skills.

At Fuqua, Kate is actively involved in AWIB, and she is also an Admissions Fellow and a COLE Fellow. In her free time, she enjoys pursuing new fitness challenges such as Bikram yoga and kickboxing, and healthy cooking.

Leah Haynesworth  
About Leah
Leah is a proud New Jersey native whose career has primarily focused on the social sector. Her work has included international development in Uganda and New York and corporate social responsibility at Disney and NBCUniversal. Prior to business school, Leah worked as a consultant at a social impact consulting firm in Los Angeles. She holds an A.B. in English and a certificate in Spanish from Princeton University and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Southern California. In her free time, Leah enjoys dancing (ballet, modern, jazz), hiking, and yoga.

Nadia Bagretsova  
About Nadia
Originally from Moscow, Russia. Before Fuqua, I managed The Strategic Risk Management unit at UniCredit Leasing and was responsible for all non-credit and retail credit risks, credit models, and reporting. I also obtained significant experience in new product design and launched, processes design and IT implementation. I hold a Ph.D. and Specialist degree in Finance from the State University of Management.
During the summer after the first year, I worked in consulting and a tech startup.
Here at Fuqua, I am involved in AWIB and FuquaPride clubs that express my passion for equality and promotion of rights for everyone. I am also excited to be a part of Tech and FinTech clubs.
My interests outside of work and Fuqua include travels, football, wines, oil-painting, popular science books, movies with unpredictable endings, and all kinds of adventures.

Paige Scofield Contijoch  
About Paige
Prior to Fuqua: I'm a native Floridian and after graduating from the University of Florida, I moved to Philadelphia where I earned an MA in history from Penn. I then worked at a nonprofit museum, in management consulting at Accenture, and in business development at a law firm. My roles focused on project management, change management, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, and communications. In 2015, I moved to San Diego where I managed operational planning for UC San Diego's $2B fundraising campaign.

Currently: I'm a Second Year student in the MBA program, pursuing a concentration in Strategy. I'm active in and have leadership roles as: AWIB Fundraising Lead (Finance Cabinet), Fuqua Cocktails & Spirits Club Co-President, CASEi3 Fellow, and Executive Fellow (supporting Distinguished Speakers Series in the Office of the Dean).

For fun, I enjoy running, reading, watching college football, and spending time with my family and yellow lab/retriever mix (Dora).

Sarah Arnio  
About Sarah
Originally from Connecticut, Sarah comes to Fuqua via Miami and Latin America. Prior to Fuqua she worked for more than six years in business development, marketing and sales at technology startups; her expertise is in Latin American tech, specifically digital payments and mobile apps. Sarah studied Public Relations and Spanish at American University and is currently

At Fuqua, Sarah serves on AWIB and the Tech Club, as VP of Marketing and Co-Chair of External Relations, respectively. She is also an admissions fellow and career fellow and enjoys learning more about her fascinating and diverse classmates.

Sarah loves keeping busy, and in her free time enjoys the outdoors and getting to know the Durham area with her partner and two children.

Shannon Griesser  
About Shannon
Shannon is a Second Year Student in the Daytime MBA Program, concentrating in Strategy and Social Entrepreneurship. She serves on the cabinet for the Male Allies Program through the Association for Women in Business. Additionally, she is a COLE Fellow and co-president of the Fuqua's COLE Fellowship this year.

Before Fuqua, Shannon graduated from Boston College (go eagles!) and worked as a client and finance manager for a leadership consulting firm. Passionate about scaling social impact, she transitioned to a global nonprofit, where she helped start a social enterprise in Northern Thailand. She came to Fuqua to gain hard business skills, in addition to leadership skills, and explore how the private sector can drive social and environmental change. She spent her summer interning in Procurement and Sustainability at AB InBev in St. Louis, and plans to return full time after graduation.

Shayla Stewart  
About Shayla
Prior to Fuqua: After graduating from the George Washington University with a dual degree in Finance and Business Economics &Public Policy, I spent the last eight years in Washington DC working in internal strategy, financial analysis, and public sector consulting. My most recent position was with PwC focusing on homeland security agencies providing financial management consulting services. Additionally, I am the founder of a female nonprofit, United Women in Business Foundation which provides free professional and personal development events for women located in DC, NYC, and Chicago.

Life at Fuqua: At Fuqua, I am concentrating in Strategy and Decision Sciences and looking to go into private sector consulting. I'm a member of the Association of Women in Business (AWIB) leadership cabinet and a wine education chair of the Fuqua Wine Club.

Outside of Fuqua: You can generally find me in one of Durhams many restaurants and coffee shops depending on the hour of the day. I also enjoy trivia nights with my section mates and exploring new music through local concerts. For balance I go to Raleigh a few days a week for my favorite gym workout (Madabolic) which is worth the drive.
